Amish Singh was born in Fiji and grew up in New Zealand, where he developed a passion for helping others through healthcare. He completed a Bachelor of Health Science (Occupational Therapy) at Auckland University of Technology before furthering his expertise with a Postgraduate Diploma in Rehabilitation, specialising in Hand Therapy, also at Auckland University of Technology.
He is passionate about continuing to develop his skills and is looking forward to further study and specialisation within the field of hand therapy.
After graduating, Amish began his career in vocational rehabilitation, supporting individuals to recover from injury and return to meaningful work.
In 2022, he transitioned into hand therapy, where he found a strong interest in the specialised management of upper limb injuries and conditions. He enjoys the variety that hand therapy offers and values working closely with patients throughout their recovery journey.
Amish recently relocated to Brisbane and is excited to continue his hand therapy career in Australia. He has a particular interest in splinting, manual therapy, and post-operative rehabilitation, and enjoys combining these skills to help patients regain function, confidence, and independence.
He believes in taking a collaborative, patient-centred approach to care, tailoring treatment plans to each person’s individual goals and lifestyle.
Outside of the clinic, Amish enjoys spending time exploring his passion for cars, playing PlayStation games, and getting outdoors for walks. Having recently moved to Brisbane, he’s looking forward to exploring everything South East Queensland has to offer in his spare time.
Amish is committed to building strong relationships with his patients and takes pride in creating a supportive, approachable environment where people feel comfortable and empowered throughout their rehabilitation journey.
