Anna Theron graduated from Griffith University with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy, where she developed a strong academic foundation across a wide range of health-related subjects, including human anatomy, physiology, and evidence-based practice. Throughout her studies, she cultivated a deep appreciation for how meaningful and life-changing occupational therapy can be when paired with compassionate, person-centred care.
Anna gained extensive clinical experience working as a community occupational therapist in the NDIS sector, supporting participants across the lifespan with diverse and complex needs in neurological rehabilitation and mental health. In this role, she worked with individuals with disabilities enhance their independence, improve their quality of life, and work toward goals that were personally meaningful to them.
Anna developed a strong passion for hand therapy following her own wrist injury, which gave her first-hand insight into the significant impact that timely, skilled intervention can have on restoring strength, function, and overall wellbeing. This personal journey, combined with her interest in upper limb anatomy, inspired her to pursue further development in the field. She is particularly motivated by the direct, tangible progress patients experience through hand therapy and values the collaborative nature of rehabilitation.
Dedicated and driven, Anna strives to help every patient return to their highest level of function, whether that involves work, sport, hobbies, or any activity that brings meaning and purpose. She remains committed to staying current with the latest research and enjoys creating tailored rehabilitation programs that align with each individual’s goals.
Outside of work, Anna enjoys exercising, reading, and spending time with her dogs. She also loves spending weekends camping, hiking, and relaxing at the beach with family and friends.
