Caleb Brown graduated from Griffith University with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy.
Prior to joining the Action Rehab team, Caleb worked as a community occupational therapist in the NDIS sector, supporting participants with disability to enhance their independence and quality of life.
Caleb developed a passion for hand therapy during high school after his sister sustained a thumb injury that required surgery. Attending her hand therapy sessions sparked his interest in the profession and inspired him to pursue a career helping people recover function and regain independence.
Throughout university, this passion continued to grow through his interest in upper limb anatomy, clinical placements, and observational experiences, where he saw first-hand the significant impact hand therapy can have in restoring function and improving people’s ability to engage in daily activities.
As an Associate Member of the Australian Hand Therapy Association, Caleb works closely with Orthopaedic Surgeons, General Practitioners, and Physiotherapists across the Northside and Peninsula to help patients regain their pre-injury function and confidently return to the activities that matter most to them.
He is experienced in designing and fabricating custom-made splints tailored to a wide range of hand conditions and has the clinical expertise to plan and guide rehabilitation, delivering optimal outcomes for his clients.
Caleb particularly enjoys staying up to date with the latest hand therapy research and developing tailored rehabilitation programmes to meet each patient’s individual goals.
Outside of work, Caleb can be found barracking passionately for his beloved Brisbane Lions, Brisbane Broncos, and Queensland Reds. He also enjoys playing a round of golf with friends, travelling, and is the Kippa Ring clinic DJ.
