SERVICE AREAS
Joshua Elmer graduated from Australian Catholic University with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy and has experience across both the NDIS sector and hospital rehabilitation settings. Early in his career, Josh developed a passion for hand therapy through his time at the Wesley Hospital inpatient rehabilitation unit and clinical experience at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, where he witnessed the powerful impact of therapy in restoring independence and function.
Alongside his clinical experience, Josh has a strong sporting background, having played football at a semi-professional level and grassroots cricket through state wide competitions. This has given him first-hand insight into the physical and psychological demands of high-level sport, as well as a deep understanding of injury patterns common in athletes. Josh brings this expertise into his practice, with a particular focus on sports-related injuries of the upper limb. He is passionate about helping athletes of all levels recover, return to play safely, and perform at their best, whether that be on the field, court, or pitch.
Josh enjoys staying up to date with the latest in hand therapy and sports injury research, ensuring his rehabilitation programs are evidence-based and tailored to each individual. His goal is always to support patients in returning to the activities that matter most to them, from sport and work to everyday life.
Outside of work, Josh remains an avid sports fan, following Football, NRL, and AFL, and continues to stay active through playing football, cricket, and golf.
