SERVICE AREAS

Laura graduated from the University of Queensland in 2016 with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy and Class I Honours. She has a broad range of practice experience across a number of clinical areas including mental health, paediatrics and inpatient rehabilitation.

Soon after graduating, Laura fell in love with the world of Hand Therapy and has worked in Hand and Upper Limb Rehabilitation exclusively since 2017. Across this time, she has worked in both the public and private sectors in metropolitan and regional Queensland. Laura has extensive experience treating patients recovering from acute surgery and trauma, as well as those with lived experience of chronic and degenerative conditions, fractures and soft tissue injuries, workplace accidents and disability.

Laura is an Accredited Hand Therapist (AHT) as awarded by the Australian Hand Therapy Association (AHTA) and is passionate about the merging of evidence-based and people-centred care. She believes in the power of personalised rehabilitation to improve mental and physical wellbeing and to get people back to the things they need and want to do. Laura has been fortunate to work alongside Brisbane’s leading Hand and Upper Limb Specialists, Orthopaedic and Plastic Surgeons, GPs and exceptional allied health providers to help people feel in control of their injuries and regain functional use of their hands and upper limbs.

Outside of work, Laura loves camping, soaking up the sun of the Sunshine State and spend time with her friends and family. You can often find her strolling through a market on a Sunday morning and she’s usually the first one on the dancefloor when she hears a good country tune.
