Stefanie Lidgard

Stefanie Lidgard is a physiotherapist with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from Griffith University, treating the hand and upper limb at Action Rehab Northside.

She began her career working in aged care facilities, helping older adults with chronic pain and osteoarthritis maintain their independence and quality of life.

During her work in aged care, Stefanie developed a passion for upper limb rehabilitation after working with multiple rotator cuff injuries, frozen shoulders, shoulder and wrist fractures, and chronic stroke patients. This gave her insight into the daily struggles that upper limb conditions can create, particularly when they affect a person’s ability to complete everyday activities independently.
She enjoys the problem-solving involved in rehabilitation and helping clients regain movement and function so they can return to the activities that are important to them.

Stefanie has a passion for learning and is always looking for new ways to improve her practice. She believes in taking the time to get to know her clients and understand each of their concerns and goals, and that the best results are achieved through collaboration with her clients.
Stef particularly enjoys helping people return to the activities important to them, whether that be work, sport, hobbies or day-to-day activities.

Stefanie is particularly interested in developing her skills upper limb rehabilitation. She enjoys the combination of detailed anatomy, clinical reasoning and practical rehabilitation involved in helping people recover following injury or surgery.
She is committed to providing clear explanations and tailored, evidence-informed treatment to help clients feel confident throughout their rehabilitation.

Outside of work, Stefanie enjoys an active lifestyle through regular gym and yoga sessions, as well as quiet time at home reading a book or embroidering with her two cats.
